"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us"-
Ralph Waldo Emerson. It is the unbeatable spirit that lies within Morgan Foster that has defined
his journey - one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence in the
face of adversity. Born on March 22, 2005 at the Savanna La Mar Public General Hospital in
Westmoreland, Morgan initially grew up in Delveland District until tragedy struck at a young
age when his father, Youthtine Foster, was tragically murdered. He then moved with his mother, Georgia, and brother, Miguel, to Broughton District, where he found solace in its nurturing embrace and the values that would propel him forward.
From an early age, Morgan's character was shaped by God and his active participation in the Seventh Day Adventist church and its youth organizations like the Adventurers and Pathfinders programs. These formative experiences instilled in him qualities of leadership, service, and an unwavering spiritual foundation that would guide his path. His academic prowess and leadership qualities also shone brightly at Savanna La Mar SDA Preparatory School, where he graduated as valedictorian, head boy, and top GSAT performer in 2017. This paved the way for his enrollment at the prestigious Manning's School, where he continued to thrive academically while immersing himself in a myriad of extracurricular activities and leadership roles.
At Manning's, Morgan consistently ranked among the top students, achieving outstanding results
in 9 CSEC subjects. However, his impact extended far beyond academics through influential
positions such as Head Boy, Cadet Company Sergeant Major (WO2), Key Club President &
Assistant Upper School PRO, SPIRIT Committee President, Arts and Food Festival Committee
Chairperson, Engineering Club Secretary, and Events Coordinator for the Jamaica Prefects'
Association Region 4 and Westmoreland Parish Youth Council PRO. His involvement spanned
numerous school clubs and external organizations, reflecting his diverse interests, commitment
to service, and natural ability to lead.
Driven by the legacy of his father and the sacrifices of his mother, Morgan channeled his
experiences into a resolute determination to create positive change. His decision to pursue a
Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, Jamaica,
is a testament to his ambition of establishing an engineering hub that prioritizes innovation,
ethical practices, and community empowerment.
With a vision of harmonizing his engineering prowess with a spirit of service, Morgan aspires to
develop sustainable solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by underserved
communities. Armed with a well-rounded education and practical training, he aims to stand at
the vanguard of a new era, where engineering seamlessly integrates with inclusive development,
fostering healthier, safer, and more prosperous societies.
Morgan's journey is a powerful testament to the transformative potential of education and the
unbeatable human spirit. From honing his leadership skills and character from primary school to
the present day, his story serves as an inspiration, reminding us that adversity need not define our
paths, but can instead ignite an unwavering drive to transcend circumstances and forge a brighter
future for all.
Congratulations Morgan! We are honored to have you representing our foundation!
